Welcome to another update from my 365 meditation journey, a commitment to meditate 365 days straight. Here is today’s breakdown:

Morning

Minutes of Mindful Gratitude

Meditation: Mindfulness

Notes:

  • 1st thing, inside, Seiza (kneeling) posture
  • Eliminated the 5 minute gratitude portion of my meditation at the end. I was running over my 15 minute limit often and I felt like I was rushing and forcing the gratitude portion instead of just letting myself be. I have been doing a morning journal that includes gratitude for the past 2 weeks in place of this.
  • I am being strict of the 15 minute limit do to my morning ritual that I have devised thanks to Hal Elrod’s book called the Miracle Morning. I now wake up 90 minutes before I have my first client to allot enough time for my ritual.
  • Enjoyed being able to just let my mind be for the entire as minutes oppose to switching gears and having to focus on gratitude by forcing certain thoughts. I found that subtle thoughts of gratitude would pass through my mind anyways while I observe my thoughts.
