My Tested WP Rocket Setup For Blazing Speed

Let me guess

You stumbled upon this FastComet review because you’re not entirely satisfied with your current hosting provider and have decided to explore other options? And more specifically, the fastest, most reliable, most cost-effective option your money can buy?

How do I know this?

Because, chances are, you’re in a similar situation as I was one year ago. Searching for better options.

I was with HostGator for years and years, and I can honestly say I was satisfied with them up until one year ago. Here’s why that changed.

I started noticing a couple things:

  • My website seemed much more sluggish than other websites
  • I would be in the middle of editing or drafting a new post when the server would go down (if you’ve expereinced this, then you know how extremely frustrating this is)

Now, if I’m getting frustrated with the sluggishness of my website, I can only imagine how my visitors feel. Chances are, many of them press the back button and move right along.

My Real FastComet Review

Hosting Provider: FastComet

My Plan: FastCloud Extra

FastComet Review

(with screenshots for proof of my websites’ speed)

  • blazing speed, shaved 2 seconds off my website speed compared to SiteGround
  • helpful and prompt customer service
  • Cloudflare integration
  • I’ve experienced 100% uptime, I did not experience this with SiteGround or HostGator
  • I feel inclined to write something here, but I honestly cannot think of anything

Which hosting providers have I used before?

Most recently, SiteGround. Prior to that, I was with Hostgator for years, merely because of the price point. I wasn’t aware at the time of how website speed affects SEO and visitor’s time on my website.

Why did I switch from SiteGround to FastComet?

Initially, it was only because of the price. Once my renewal came up for Siteground, I was asked to pay $240 US in order to keep my plan, which was their GrowBig plan. So, I decided to look elsewhere and stumbled upon FastComet.

I am coming up to my renewal with FastComet now as well, and they too are asking for $240 to renew my plan.

Will I be renewing? yes, 100%. I’ve already budgeted it.

Why am I willing to renew at $240 with FastComet when I wasn’t willing to with Siteground?

Simple, the performance benefits I’ve experienced from Fastcomet are superior to SiteGround.

I don’t have screenshots of my website speed while I was with SiteGround, but I can tell you that it hovered around +- 4 seconds. I was able to shave 2 seconds off my website loading time by switching to FastComet.

Why FastCloud Extra plan?

As you can see, I’m on the FastCloud Extra shared plan. It’s the only plan I recommend you get if you’re looking to really take advantage of the enhanced features that provide blazing fast website loading times. It’s the only plan that comes with ‘Rocket Booster’, which provides:

  • 3x more CPU and RAM
  • Varnish cache and WAF
  • APC and OPcode cache
  • 3x less clients per server
  • Litespeed LSAPI
  • Memcached

How is their customer service?

Top-notch and speedy. Comparing FastComet‘s customer service to my previous 2 hosting providers; HostGator and SiteGround, I found them much swifter in their replies and ability to troubleshoot.

How easy was it to transfer to FastComet from SiteGround?

Piece of cake. Seemless and without website interruption. They do all the work.
