Morning

Minutes of Mindful Gratitude

Meditation: Mindful Gratitude

Notes:

  • 1st thing, inside as it was chilly again this morning, kneeling (Seiza) posture
  • 1st 10 minutes: Mindfulness
  • Next 5 minutes: Gratitude
  • Extra time as I desire
  • Didn’t leave myself time to do the full 15 minutes this morning, still a quality session

Notes:

  • This was a virtual class
  • 2 of my clients joined me for this session after our Yoga class
  • Sat cross-legged, got progressively more uncomfortable through since my hips are tight, to the point where eventually it started distracting me

Afternoon

Minutes of Heart

Meditation: Day 3 of Heart (Part 2)

Teacher: Michelle Zarrin

Notes:

  • Inside, kneeling in an upright posture which is called Seiza in meditation terms
  • Left quad tightness got quite distracting towards the end, to the point I started shifting around a little bit to relieve tension temporarily. However, I will continue with this pose despite the obvious discomfort in hope that my flexibility will improve over time I as Use this posture daily.
  • Today was a continuation of yesterday, feelings of guilt and shame, letting them arise naturally and understanding those feelings on a deeper level
  • I was at peace the whole time, I had no guilty feelings arise once again
